What does it take to get to scale?

Our experience has shown that the secret to reaching a massive scale isn’t any one tool or tactic.

Instead, it’s about three things:

1. Creating a clear and compelling vision or end goal that motivates people to want to get involved. (On electoral campaigns this is easier than in advocacy contexts, where there are often many competing goals!)
2. Building impactful and empowered volunteer communities around that vision.
3. Creating intelligent systems that reduce friction and allow for people to take meaningful actions in a seamless way. Smart, seamless systems allow for mass participation without each participant having a 1:1 relationship with a staff organizer.

This is the formula that has helped electoral campaigns break records and movements change the conversation.
